Which version of Java is required to run Kaazing Gateway?

Kaazing Gateway requires JDK 1.6.x or higher. You can download the latest JDK from Sun Microsystem's.

Where can I download the Adobe Flash/Flex libraries for Kaazing Gateway?

These libraries are included in Kaazing Enterprise Gateway, which is available at Kaazing.com.

Kaazing Gateway will not start when I try to run it?

Make certain that the JAVA_HOME variable is set in your environment. Also, make certain that you are you are attempting to run the gateway with JDK 1.6.x or higher.

I can't access Kaazing Gateway with the default URL, http://localhost:8000

The most common problem occurs when another web server or process is already using the default port 8000. This is the default HTTP port that Kaazing Gateway attempts to bind to at startup. To change this, perform the following steps:

Open the file $KAAZING_HOME/conf/gateway-config.xml and search for instances of 8000.

Change them to a port number that is not in use, and greater than 1024, as ports less than or equal to 1024 require superuser access to bind to under UNIX.

Restart Kaazing Gateway

Access the Kaazing Gateway at http://localhost:<new-port-number>/ in your browser. For example: http://localhost:8884/

"localhost" is not found when I try to access http://localhost:8000

It can happen that "localhost" is not found when you try to access the Kaazing Gateway. This can happen if your browser is configured to use a proxy server. If this is the case, make sure your proxy configuration bypasses the proxy to access "localhost."
